We are seeking a full-time Intergenerational Program and Event Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of a dynamic intergenerational program to connect older adults, children, & community members, while also supporting special events.
Position Overview
As the Intergenerational Program and Event Coordinator, you will design, implement, and evaluate programs that foster meaningful connections across generations. Your work will help reduce social isolation, strengthen community bonds and raise awareness about Senior Coastsiders.
This non-exempt position requires 40 hours/week, 8 AM to 4 PM Monday-Friday and occasional evenings and weekends for special events.
Salary ranges from $25 to $30 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development: Design and evaluate a program to boost intergenerational engagement.
Program Execution: Oversee and execute all intergenerational program activities, including transporting food and/or older adults to program sites.
Partnership Building: Collaborate with schools and community partners to plan and facilitate events.
Impact Tracking: Collect data on program outcomes and prepare insightful reports.
Outreach: Promote programs and gather compelling participant stories.
Event Support: Assist with organizing special events and community activities.
Qualifications and Skills
Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and implement activities effectively.
Personable: Enjoy working with older adults and children.
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
Team Player: Ability to lead and collaborate within a team.
Problem Solver: Solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
Tech Savvy: Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, social media, and Constant Contact.
Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 30 lbs and manage event setups. Must be comfortable driving a 10-pasenger van and transporting older adults.
Experience: Relevant experience with older adults or children is preferred. Must have a clean DMV driving record.
