There's a class for everyone at
Senior Coastsiders!
Participating in an activity is a great opportunity for coastside seniors to get fit, have fun, share ideas, learn a skill, and make new friends. The following is a list of some of our most popular classes and programs:
- Writing Workshop
If you have an interest in writing memoirs, stories or poems, join this supportive and encouraging group of writers. Thursdays at 10 a.m.
- Track Aerobics
Walk or stride along the Coastside Trail and exercise at Enso Center. 4 pm Wednesday, January 23 – May 21.. Contact the SMC Community College District Coastside Office for an application at 726-6444.
- Oil Painting
Learn composition, value, color and more. All levels welcome. Mondays beginning March 3, 10-12 p.m.
- Inner Fitness Discussion Group
Explore how growing older can be a rich, creative experience. Class meets Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
- Craft Class
Work on your own craft projects with a group of like-minded folks on Tuesdays at 9 a.m.
- Intergenerational Spanish
Expand your horizons with this hands-on active immersion language class which meets on Mondays at 10:15 a.m. at Sea Crest School
- Rosen Movement
Practice simple movements set to music to help improve joint movement and flexibility. Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 a.m. or Fridays at 11 a.m.
- Gentle Exercise for the Light Hearted
Gentle stretch and reaches; stay seated while increasing strength and flexibility of arms and legs. Newcomers welcome. Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m.
- Pilates Plus
Pilates work improves overall fitness by increasing flexibility, strength, coordination and endurance. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:45 or 10 a.m.
- Games
Join your friends at Bingo on the second and fourth Fridays at 12:45 p.m. Pedro is played every Monday at 12:45 p.m. Whist instead of Pedro on the last Monday of the month.
